Para fabricar ropa se usan muchas sustancias químicas nocivas. Estas dañan nuestros océanos y ríos. Las empresas están buscando formas mejores que no dañen la naturaleza.

Una nueva empresa fabrica tintes ecológicos para la ropa con la ayuda de bacterias. Cultivan los tintes en grandes depósitos, de forma similar a como se elabora la cerveza. Este método ecológico consume mucha menos agua, energía y electricidad que los métodos antiguos. Los nuevos tintes son seguros para la piel y no se desvanecen fácilmente con el agua. Las grandes marcas de ropa ya están empezando a comprar estos tintes naturales. La empresa quiere dejar de usar productos químicos tóxicos porque la naturaleza puede crear cualquier color vivo de forma segura.
