Muchas mujeres eligen este trabajo porque necesitan dinero y no encuentran otro empleo. Unos intermediarios las llevan a los espectáculos, y algunas chicas empiezan cuando son muy jóvenes. Los hombres gritan, tocan o se comportan de forma grosera, y las mujeres sienten miedo y estrés.
La policía dice que a veces hay grupos ilegales que traen a las mujeres a este trabajo. Los agentes detienen algunos espectáculos y ayudan a las chicas jóvenes a marcharse, pero muchas vuelven más tarde. Sus familias necesitan dinero, y mucha gente piensa que los espectáculos están bien.
