La empresa Meta tiene que pagar 18.000 millones de dólares (16.500 millones de euros) a 48 estados de EE. UU. Los líderes estadounidenses dicen que Facebook e Instagram son perjudiciales para la salud de los niños.

Meta dice que no hace nada malo, pero que pagará esa cantidad a lo largo de diez años. Meta también está cambiando la forma en que los adolescentes usan sus apps. Los adolescentes solo podrán usar las apps dos horas al día. Las apps dejarán de funcionar por la noche y durante el horario escolar. Meta también quiere ocultar el número de «me gusta».

Meta quiere que otras apps de vídeo, como TikTok y YouTube, también hagan los mismos cambios para los niños. La gente se pregunta hasta qué punto son seguras estas apps para los niños.
