Los científicos han encontrado una versión más antigua y sencilla de Stonehenge a solo cinco kilómetros del famoso monumento.
Este nuevo yacimiento tiene 5.000 años, lo que significa que es 500 años más antiguo que Stonehenge. Hoy en día, solo quedan dos grandes agujeros en el suelo. Los arqueólogos dicen que, hace mucho tiempo, en estos agujeros había altos postes de madera. La madera ya no está, pero los científicos han demostrado que los postes se alineaban perfectamente con el sol durante los días más largos y más cortos del año. Los trabajadores también encontraron objetos antiguos en el yacimiento, como bonitas vasijas, herramientas de piedra y huesos de animales. Estos hallazgos demuestran que los primeros agricultores se reunían allí para celebrar las estaciones.
El descubrimiento es muy emocionante porque nos ayuda a entender cómo vivían, trabajaban y observaban el cielo esos pueblos antiguos.
