Dawa Sherpa es guía de montaña en Nepal. Se pierde en el Everest durante una semana. Hace mucho frío. Su familia cree que ha muerto. Su mujer y su hija organizan un funeral en casa y lloran por él.
Pero Dawa no está muerto. Se arrastra por la nieve blanca durante seis días para buscar ayuda. Un equipo de hombres lo encuentra cerca del campamento base. Tiene las manos heridas por el hielo, pero está a salvo. Un helicóptero lo lleva a un hospital para que vea a su familia. Su hija está muy feliz. Para ella es como un sueño.
La gente dice que Dawa no muere porque es muy fuerte. Le encantan las montañas.
