Las notas en las pruebas de lectura de los adolescentes están bajando en muchos países. Los expertos dicen que las pantallas hacen que los jóvenes lean demasiado rápido. Los niños leen por encima las palabras en sus móviles y tabletas. No entienden las ideas principales.

Además, usar la inteligencia artificial para hacer los trabajos escritos impide que el cerebro aprenda. Esto es malo para el futuro. La gente necesita leer para pensar bien. Si no, se creen fácilmente las noticias falsas y la información errónea.

Pero podemos cambiar esta situación. Los padres deberían leerles libros a los niños pequeños todos los días. Leer libros de verdad durante 20 minutos al día ayuda a que el cerebro se fortalezca y mantiene a salvo las habilidades de lectura.

  2. Read the news articles from the day before and check if you remember all new words.

Listening

  1. Listen to the news from today and read the text at the same time.
  2. Listen to the news from today without reading the text.

  1. Answer the question under today’s news and write the answer in the comments.
