La gente tiene diferentes colores de piel por culpa del sol. En sitios muy soleados, la piel oscura protege a la gente de la luz intensa. Pero cuando la gente se muda a sitios con menos sol, la piel oscura se convierte en un problema.
El cuerpo necesita la luz del sol para producir vitamina D. La vitamina D nos ayuda a tener huesos fuertes y buena salud. Por eso, la piel de las personas se vuelve más clara en lugares con menos sol. A algunas personas también se les oscurece la piel en verano y se les aclara en invierno.
Hoy en día, la gente viaja y vive en todas partes. A veces tenemos que usar crema solar para proteger nuestra piel. Otras veces necesitamos tomar vitaminas extra para estar sanos.
