El presidente de EE. UU., Donald Trump, calificó los temores sobre la seguridad de la IA de «bulo» y dijo que el país debe ganar la carrera mundial de la IA. Cree que la IA traerá un crecimiento económico mayor que el del petróleo o los diamantes.

Pero mucha gente y muchos expertos no están de acuerdo en cómo gestionar esta nueva tecnología. El director de OpenAI, Sam Altman, dice que la gente debería confiar en las empresas tecnológicas, mientras que el director general de Nvidia cree que las empresas deberían controlar sus propias normas de seguridad sin necesidad de nuevas leyes gubernamentales. Algunos políticos han advertido de que la IA podría ser más peligrosa que las armas nucleares.

A muchos críticos les preocupa que las grandes empresas quieran quedarse con todos los beneficios, mientras que, al mismo tiempo, la gente de a pie correrá peligro. Los expertos sostienen que EE. UU. necesita normas estrictas para proteger a la gente y dar buen ejemplo al resto del mundo.
