Gracias a aplicaciones de redes sociales como TikTok, los niños y las niñas ven vídeos sobre rutinas de belleza y cuidado personal. Muchos niños de ocho años usan productos de cuidado de la piel para adultos, lo que puede dañarles la piel. A las grandes empresas les encanta esta tendencia porque ganan mucho dinero vendiendo productos a compradores jóvenes. Además, ahora muchos niños dicen que quieren ser influencers famosos en Internet en lugar de ir al colegio o jugar al aire libre.

Aunque las grandes empresas tecnológicas y los anunciantes fomentan este comportamiento de consumo, son los padres quienes compran estos productos. Los expertos dicen que los padres deberían limitar el tiempo que pasan delante de la pantalla y ayudar a sus hijos a disfrutar de una infancia auténtica y sencilla.
