A los jóvenes de la Generación Z les cuesta mucho alcanzar los objetivos vitales tradicionales, como comprarse una casa, casarse o tener hijos. Los altos precios de la vivienda, los alquileres caros y los salarios bajos hacen que los jóvenes retrasen estos hitos.

En muchos países, comprar una vivienda cuesta ahora hasta diez veces el salario medio anual. Las redes sociales empeoran la situación, ya que los jóvenes se comparan con las imágenes de gente rica que ven en Internet, lo que les provoca estrés y les lleva a tomar malas decisiones económicas. Los expertos dicen que esta generación podría acabar siendo menos rica que la de sus padres debido a la inflación y al alto coste de la vida.

En lugar de rendirse, muchos jóvenes están aprendiendo a gestionar mejor su dinero. Muchos también se están sumando a las protestas políticas para luchar por unos costes más bajos, un trato justo y un futuro mejor para todos.
