En la India, muchos aldeanos están protestando contra un gran proyecto del Gobierno para unir dos ríos.

El Gobierno quiere construir una gran presa para llevar agua a las zonas áridas y ayudar a los agricultores a cultivar alimentos. Pero el aumento del nivel del agua debido a las obras ya está inundando casas, tierras de cultivo y templos. La gente de la zona dice que el Gobierno les está quitando sus tierras sin darles suficiente dinero ni una nueva vivienda. Algunos manifestantes dicen que no van a abandonar sus tierras. A los expertos en naturaleza también les preocupa que el proyecto inunde un gran bosque y afecte a los tigres que viven en una famosa reserva.

Los líderes del Gobierno dicen que el proyecto es necesario para resolver los problemas de agua, pero muchos vecinos y expertos quieren que el Gobierno lo detenga y solucione primero estos graves problemas.
