El Tribunal Supremo de Indonesia ha desestimado una demanda contra el vicepresidente Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Había gente que intentaba destituirlo y decía que su título académico de otro país no era lo suficientemente alto para un vicepresidente.
Según la ley indonesia, los dirigentes deben haber terminado el bachillerato o una formación equivalente. Los nueve jueces del tribunal desestimaron el caso por motivos técnicos legales. Dijeron que las personas que presentaron la demanda no tenían derecho a hacerlo porque no se habían presentado a las elecciones de 2024. Los jueces también señalaron que Gibran ya ocupa oficialmente el cargo.
El tribunal señaló que nadie presentó pruebas que demostraran que su título extranjero fuera válido. Por ahora, Gibran sigue en su cargo, pero podrían surgir más problemas legales en el futuro.
