España ganó el Mundial tras vencer a Argentina en un partido que se decidió en la prórroga. Más de un millón de aficionados salieron a las calles de Madrid para ver a sus héroes del fútbol durante un gran desfile.

Los expertos dicen que España se mereció la victoria porque el equipo funcionó muy bien como conjunto y jugó un fútbol fantástico durante todo el torneo. La gran final en Estados Unidos contó con un espectáculo inusual en el descanso, con estrellas famosas, parecido al de la Super Bowl. También asistieron al partido líderes importantes como Donald Trump.

Este Mundial ha sido el más caro y rentable de la historia. Algunas entradas se vendieron por 100 000 dólares. La gente cree que este torneo ha cambiado el fútbol para siempre porque ha incorporado ideas empresariales estadounidenses a este deporte.
