Hay una gran riada en el Gran Cañón. Llueve mucho y muy rápido. Mueren dos personas. Los helicópteros ayudan a muchos visitantes a ponerse a salvo.

En verano llueve mucho por esta zona. Un incendio forestal reciente empeora la inundación. No hay árboles que retengan el agua. El agua sucia arrastra rocas y barro colina abajo. La inundación también rompe una gran tubería de agua.

Los expertos en meteorología dicen que hay que tener cuidado. Cuando llueve en el cañón, los excursionistas deben correr hacia terreno elevado para ponerse a salvo.
